Information we process

Why Believe does not require you to create a conventional named account to use the App. You can browse questions, read answers and use core features without providing information such as your name or email address.

The App does not include analytics, advertising or third-party tracking, and it does not send your in-app activity to us. Standard technical information — such as device type, operating system version, app version and general diagnostic data — may be processed by the app stores and by the hosting provider for this website as a normal part of their operation, but we do not use it to build a profile of you personally.

Suggesting a question or reporting an issue

The App's Suggest a Question and Report an Issue options prepare an email addressed to support@why-believe.com and open it in your device's email app. The App does not send the message itself, and it does not add your name, email address or device information to it. You can review or edit the message before deciding whether to send it, and it is sent by your own email provider.

If you send it, or email us directly, we receive your email address, any name associated with your email account, and whatever you include in the message. We use this only to read and respond to your message and to consider your suggestion.

Third-party services

We rely on a limited number of third-party service providers to operate the App and this website, including:

• Apple App Store — for iOS app distribution.
• Google Play — for Android app distribution.
• Hosting infrastructure — standard hosting providers used to serve this website.
• Email provider — used to receive and reply to support emails.

These providers process information on our behalf or, as with Apple and Google, under their own terms, and are subject to their own privacy practices.

How information is used

We use the information described above to:

• Provide, maintain and improve the App and this website.
• Read and respond to suggestions, issue reports and other messages you email us.

Data sharing

We do not sell your information. We share information only with the service providers described above, to the extent necessary for them to perform their function (such as hosting this website or delivering email), or where required by law.

Data retention

Because the App does not use accounts and does not send us your in-app activity, we do not hold a profile or app data about you. Support emails you send us are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond and to keep a record of the conversation, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect information processed in connection with the App and this website. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Why Believe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

Your choices and rights

The App does not require an account, and you can use it without sending us any information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding information about you, such as the right to request access to or deletion of certain information.
